The Rune Collection is one of Gurhan's earliest forays into designing in pure gold. He took cabochon cut stones - the simplest of cuts, smooth, without facets, and all about the stone. His goal was to strip away unnecessary metal features and allow these magnificent stones shine with only the simplest of pure gold frames. Today, these strong, simple designs showcase stones ranging from opals to sapphires, rubies to tanzanite, coral to emerald.
