The Gems: The centerpiece of this necklace is a rare 15.13 carat asscher-cut Ceylon chrysoberyl from Sri Lanka. Chrysoberyl is a 9 on the mohs scale, making it one of the hardest gemstones, right after diamond and sapphire. Chrysoberyl's of this size are extremely rare. The color changing variety of Chrysoberyl is called Alexandrite. This golden gem is surrounded by an 8 pronged 18k yellow gold setting set with fancy intense yellow diamonds to further enhance it's warm tones. The Craftsmanship: This necklace is cleverly constructed to give you endless options in how to wear it.
