Innovative but with a nod to antiquity, one jewelry trend I’m most excited about is based on the fusion of Deco and Roman themes. Crafted in semiprecious and precious stones, as well as a variety of colors and metals, mosaic inspired pieces proved to be a driving force in the jewelry world. In particular I was impressed with Nak Armstrong’s lightweight and modern interpretation of the mosaic featured at the Couture Jewelry Show in Las Vegas.
His earrings, necklaces and bracelets carry a lot of impact but maintain their femininity and are a technical work of art. Formerly a part of Nak Anthony, Armstrong is already carving out a niche for himself with the eponymous jewelry line he debuted at Couture.
