Claiborne Swanson Frank, a former Naples resident, graced Marissa Collections with an exclusive book signing for her debut book, American Beauty (Assouline, Spring 2012) today from 2PM-6PM. Still in disbelief and awe at her debut book, which features over 100 portraits of American women, Claiborne’s photographic style aims to capture the beauty and soul of her subjects, presenting her portraits of women in a very natural and feminine way with subtle traces of strength and power.
Photographer and author exhibited her first body of work, “Indigo Light,” a collection of portraits of women in her life in 2010, which lead the way to American Beauty. An American Beauty herself, Claiborne is calm and inviting, welcoming and speaking to anyone interesting in the arts or photography.
Claiborne Swanson Frank will be at Marissa Collections until 6PM tonight, if you would love a signed copy of her new book, do stop in!
