Orlebar Brown

Photographer-turned-fashion designer Adam Brown founded Orlebar Brown to create more flattering alternatives to the saggy, baggy men's board shorts and swim trunks he was used to seeing. Based in the UK, Orlebar Brown describes its signature garment as “not so much a swim short but a ‘short you can swim in.’” Styles include the Bulldog, a classic beach short available in pastel and bright hues as well as basic blacks and blues, and the Setter — a 1950s-inspired short stylish enough to be featured in the James Bond movie Skyfall. Since its founding in 2007, Orlebar Brown has collaborated with Monocle, Swami, and other brands on limited-edition swimwear tailor-made for your beach-to-bar transitions.
