Adore Adorn

As a teenager, the designer behind Adore Adorn, Sasha Flynn, struggled with fitting in. Of African and Lebanese descent, when Sasha’s family moved from Chicago to much smaller Kansas City, she found herself dreaming of becoming an artist, a writer, a fashion designer, she wanted to experience the insouciance of giving creative voice to the depth of her emotions and her perceptions of her surroundings. When her beloved Aunt Missy suddenly died, Sasha’s determination to be her most authentic self was solidified. Her aunt, like much of her maternal family, had been an incredible, free-spirited artist and Sasha found strength in her journey, and she began dressing how she wanted, despite being viewed as an outcast among most of her peers.
