cool colors

Featured gemstones are like the “Pantone Color of the Year” in the jewelry world, setting the tone for the year's trends. Sea tones dominated the scene. We saw emeralds and green tourmalines alongside aquamarine, blue sapphire, turquoise, and Paraiba tourmaline. The show was also sprinkled with vibrant amethyst, ruby, and pink and purple sapphire. Not to be outdone, coral and pearl had a standout year, making a strong impression.

novelty & nostalgia

It was refreshing to see a shift after a period dominated by gold and diamonds. This year, novelty and nostalgic pieces took the spotlight. Animal motifs, including birds and insects, were everywhere, as were marine themes featuring shells, fish, and other sea creatures. Designers embraced playful elements with gem-encrusted fruits like strawberries and pineapples, and symbols of good fortune such as horseshoes, shamrocks, dice, and keys. Some even went further, showcasing literal interpretations with items like suitcases, passports, cassette tapes, and matchbooks.

unusual materials

While gold remains a staple, designers are experimenting with new materials to keep things interesting. Silk rope cords, leather, and recycled beads replaced traditional gold chains. Lightweight materials like carbon fiber, titanium, and wood offered new and exciting variety. Fossilized mammoth made a comeback this year and enamel continued to be a popular accent in various pieces.
