Runway Review | Barbara Tfank Fall 2014
Barbara Tfank’s fall 2014 offering was impeccable and rich — just like her loyal customers.
Targeting that specific niche of women on the black tie/cocktail party circuit, the designer offered an elegant range of short frocks and gowns in opulent fabrics.
Her lineup, all American-made and inspired by the still-life paintings of Francesco Guardi, included an off-the-shoulder maxidress in a vivid floral jacquard motif. Among the evening separates were a platinum lamé top showing black and white micro flowers and matching ball skirt, while for daywear, there were options like a brocade vest with fox fur collar worn with a pleated taffeta skirt.
