UPDATE YOUR JEWELRY ESSENTIALS | A MARISSA MINUTE

WE ALL HAVE THE ESSENTIAL GO-TO JEWELRY PIECES THAT WE LIVE IN AND RARELY TAKE OFF. SO HOW DO WE UPDATE AND CHANGE IT UP WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK BUT STILL MAKE A WORTHY PURCHASE?

THE HOOP
Still a longstanding favorite, the hoop originated in the fourth century in Africa and was popular in the Egyptian culture.
If you’re a hoop girl, you’re always a hoop girl.  Add to your assortment with a heart shaped Cadar diamond earring or go larger with super light, oval hoop by Sidney Garber. If you’re looking for a little color try translucent enamel by Andy Lif or bold Lucite by Alison Lou.
THE DIAMOND STUD
Popular in the 1970’s, it has remained an essential earring ever since.
Make your everyday diamond stud more interesting with adding an additional earring by Kismet, Alison Lou or BVLA.  Add a baguette, pearl or shapes with Suzanne Kalan or Dana Rebecca studs!  Or simply replace your diamond stud with gold or color.  Irene Neuwirth makes playful nod with hearts and arrows, bows, and gumballs.
THE GOLD BANGLE
Worn in abundance for centuries by various cultures, the bangle loves multiples.  If you have a bangle or bracelet that you never take off, here are some great additions.
Try newcomer Harwell Godfrey inlay baguette bangle.  Add texture with pave chain link bracelet by Shay.  Need a good luck charm; Marlo Laz has the cuff for you.  Can’t go wrong with a petite, classic gemstone bracelet by Irene Neuwirth.  Going out for the evening? Create a multi bangle look in titanium and diamonds by Graziela.
THE PEARL NECKLACE
With summer around the corner, pearls scream femininity and beach tranquility.  Strands of pearls have always been a sign of the ultimate status symbol; but today’s version is casual and organic.
Layer pearls in a modern, funky and unconventual way.  Play with lengths!  Pair a long pendant by Bibi van der Velden or a short charm necklace by Sydey Evan.  Try a pop a color with a turquoise link necklace by Irene Neuwirth or texture with a chain collar by Shay.
