There’s something about stripes. Though less showy than animal prints, they also have become a new, no-nonsense neutral to the point that designers are mixing them with other prints such as florals. Nothing says summer, or endless summer as is the case with resort, like crisp, simple stripes that appear on nautical classics inspired by Breton sailor shirts. But fashion always moves forward in a different direction, literally regarding this look since stripes explode in a variety of angles and widths. Experiment with bold jailhouse styles, pinstripes and color blocking for a grander geometric statement on ball gowns to ballet slippers.
