Runway Review | Lanvin Pre-Fall 2014
At a preview in Paris, Alber Elbaz said he focused on daywear at Lanvin for pre-fall. “But not conventional daywear,” he noted, adding that he’s striving to “bring fun back to fashion.” Thus jogging pants were a key look. Working the alluringly chic side of sporty, one version of the silhouette came in a hammered satin with tuxedo striping and was worn with a simple satin bustier top. Other styles were done in wool jersey and knits, paired with toppers such as a goat-fur trenchcoat that flared from the hips like a dress.
Elbaz wrapped some of the looks in graphic fox-fur and knit stoles, while floppy, beaten fedora hats added a casual appeal.
