Runway Review | Etro Pre-Fall 2014
For pre-fall, Veronica Etro put a new spin on the house’s signature paislies by matching them with tribal graphics. Black-and-white patterns were injected with fresh tones — coral, cobalt blue and lime green — shown on wearable looks that ranged from a feminine crepe de chine dress embellished with a ruffled bib to a structured blazer with embroidered trim and a flared patchwork skirt.
Etro also added a masculine touch via men’s wear-inspired patterns, such as the tie-like micro-geometric print on a pair of crepe de chine pants paired with a bouclé Prince of Wales jacket.
