A Marchesa gown is the stuff of fantasy, interminably opulent and seemingly frothing with embellishment; a Cinderella moment at it's finest. For Spring 2013 Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman took their beautiful dreamers to India. Literal interpretation after literal interpretation strutted down the runway practically dripping with the majesty of the Maharajas. There were sari draped gowns both short and long, all of which were high drama and far from the minimalism of other Spring runways. A few pieces, though, really hit the mark, such as the ever evolving tunic dress which Marchesa is no stranger to
as well as a few fabulously draped pieces like the wine colored one sleeved sari dress
and the white sleeveless embellished sheath with asymmetrical hem.
The royal courts of India are looking fabulous this Spring season and are sure to take their turn on many a red carpet.
