Reed Krakoff is virtually peerless when it comes to creating clothes that make confident statements with little to no embellishment. In the instance of the Reed Krakoff Spring 2013 collection it is sheer genius; literally. There was an emphasis on see-through garments stomping runways from New York to Milan, but Reed Krakoff manages to up the ante on the trend making it accesible. He plays with the idea in a layered way that keeps more to the imagination than you think. Sheer shorts in nude paired with a matching cardigan are feminine in an un-saccharine way.

Also, much to his credit, Reed Krakoff plays with proportion and seaming in a way that produces subtle effects that become jarringly beautiful. The tonal cream and white seamed front dress is one such piece with endless possibilities; stark yet sumptuous.

Other fabulous pieces included a monochrome color blocked brown jacket,

and a layered sheer panel dress in vibrant coral red, one of the colors popular on multiple runways.

And as always the accessories, in particular the purses, were stunning and witty.
