This season, Rozae Nichols rediscovered Southern California for her Clover Canyon collection. Looking to midcentury architecture and furnishings design, Nichols referenced John Lautner’s iconic Chemosphere house in Los Angeles and the works of Charles and Ray Eames.

Inspired by the idea of indoor-outdoor living, Nichols’ references came courtesy of fun and vibrant prints — bamboo, floral, architectural blueprints and interior-design patterns. The collection had plenty of her signature fitted dresses, but Nichols also worked in some new shapes, such as a laser-cut Neoprene coat, bell-shaped cropped tops, little aprons and fuller ladylike skirts.
