THE SPEED OF COLOR Collection is the embodiment of artist Andy Lifschutz’s obsession with color and impeccable craftsmanship. Created in 18k Italian gold with Plique-à-jour enamel in combination with diamonds and rare, exquisitely faceted gemstones, each piece evokes subtly nuanced emotions.

Artist Andy “Lif” Lifschutz’s continuously evolving collection of fine jewelry is a culmination of his life experiences. For Andy, inspiration is boundless. 

It can come in the form of a smile he shares with his son, the subtle warmth of the Oregon sunshine on his skin, the hum of history throughout the streets and alleys of Italy, memories of his grandmother’s hands in the process of creativity, the gritty energy surrounding his Brooklyn studio, the vibration emanated by a collective chanting at his California Buddhist center, or in the simple act of spending time with his wife and family in their Los Angeles home.  

Andy collaborates with craftsmen and artisans whose work he admires, including the stonecutters who provide him with proprietary cuts with which to work, as well as artisans that employ ancient jewelry making techniques, or the most state-of-the- art technology, in finalizing his creative vision.

The Andy Lif Jewelry collection is primarily designed in his ​Los Angeles-based studio​, and produced in Downtown Los Angeles.  

Crafted in ​18k Italian yellow gold​ and often incorporates ​plique-à- jour in combination with ​diamond​s or ​exquisitely colored gemstones ​and​ stone inlay​.  

His jewelry is sculptural and refined, elegant in its subtlety, bold in its creativity. His jewelry is ​made to be worn​.  

From the ​perfect huggie​ earring a woman never needs to take off, to dramatic hoops​ that are comfortable enough to wear all day, to show-stopping ​cocktail rings​, his work establishes a solid foundation​ for any jewelry wardrobe​ and works seamlessly with a woman’s existing jewelry collection.    

French for “letting in daylight”, a vitreous hot enameling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent enamel “windows”. 

The ​plique-à-jour enamel ​work is all created in Los Angeles and requires intensive labor and exquisite attention to detail.
